1. What is WeatherPlus+?
WeatherPlus+ (pronounced as "Weather Plus Plus") is an Exclusive Weather Consulting Services, a branch company of the Canadian Weather Centre. WeatherPlus+ is a paid service (with the exception of the first 50 sign-ups), and provides high quality weather maps from a variety of reliable sources with in-depth weather analysis from our meteorologists and other meteorological expert. It is also a place where members and members discuss about the weather, featuring a fully integrated video/audio/text chat room, and a fully functional forum. These are features to be released during Phase One, scheduled to be completed by September 1, 2008.
WeatherPlus+ will launch its full service on September 1, 2008.
2. How do I sign-up for WeatherPlus+?
For the first 50 members, you can sign-up for free in our Sign-up page, conveniently accessible from our home page as well as the Markham Weather Centre and the Canadian Weather Centre. The sign-up will take you less than 3 minutes, and your information will be safe with us, as it will only be used for statistics, and will not be sold to others.
WeatherPlus+ will be built in 2 phases. The first phase will occur during now to September 1st of 2008. The second phase will be a longer-lasting phase, and will mainly focus on site maintenance, as well as throwing in some exciting elements to make WeatherPlus+ a more useful tool. The second phase will end by 2010.
In Phase One, basic structures of WeatherPlus+ will be built. We will be focusing setting up the formats of different pages as well as integrating weather maps, commentaries from professionals, and chat rooms/forums.
In Phase Two, we will throw in more exciting elements. Some hints of those will be a customizable profile.
4. Why can't I log in?
First of all, make sure you have signed up for an account, and that your account has been VALIDATED by me (this means, you have received a confirmation e-mail with all the terms/conditions) Secondly, check if all the entered information (e-mails, usernames, passwords) are correct, and check if the CAPS lock and the NUMBER locks are on. If it still doesn't work, refresh the page and try again. Finally, if nothing worked, please send me an e-mail at weatherloverguy@hotmail.com.
5. I'm sure I logged on, but why does it say "This site does not exist"?
Don't worry. This is normal. This appears because the page you're logging into is a future welcoming page, and has not been set up. Check back from day-to-day, and you will see surprise sooner than you think!
6. What is a "Common Page"? "Exclusive" Page? "Special" Page?
A common page is a page that can be viewed by everyone, whether they have an account or not. A exclusive or special page is a page that can be viewed by members of WeatherPlus+ only. For a private page (which will be released during Phase Four of the project), the page can only be viewed to a selection of people.
